  1. Aerodiol
A novel, completely new route of delivery for oestrogen replacement is offered in this nasal spray. The dose ranges from 1 to 4 puffs daily, with a starting dose of 2 puffs. Pulsed delivery of oestradiol in this way avoids sustained increases in plasma oestradiol. It is indicated in the treatment of menopausal symptoms in hysterectomised women. In non-hysterectomised women, an adequate dose of a progestogen should be used for at least 12 days each month.

  2. Menoring
This vaginal ring releases oestradiol that is absorbed into the systemic circulation at a rate of approximately 50mg daily. It is indicated for the control of hot flushes, night sweats and other menopause symptoms, in hysterectomised women.
